Kansas Babe Ruth Leagues, Inc. has been serving the Kansas community since 1954. Ours is an educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball competition for players aged 4 through 18. Nationwide, there are over 60,000 teams competing in over 10,500 leagues. In Kansas, there are around 500 teams playing in over 50 leagues.
Rules and regulations of our organization have been established through democratic procedures, with the guidance of professional recreation directors, high school athletic authorities and college coaches. Babe Ruth baseball players play on a regulation baseball diamond and Cal Ripken players (aged 12 and under), play on a smaller field with 60 or 70 foot bases.
It is the basic intent of Babe Ruth League, Inc. every candidate be given the opportunity to play in the program within the rules and regulations as established by Babe Ruth League, Inc. Each league must advertise registrations, conduct tryouts and draft players. Teams should not be permitted to recruit their own players.
